DDMWorks - LNF Air Intake System - AIS

We are looking to have these ready for the Maryland Mod Meet 6 - right now these are pre-order.

DDMworks 2.0L LNF GXP/Redline/Opel GT Performance Intake
The best flowing intake for your Kappa. The DDMworks intake offers you a large 3" intake tube with one of the largest filters on the market, plus the only intake heatshield offered on the market. Keep your intake temps low and your airflow high with the DDMworks intake.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
We have been working on the Solstice/Sky/Opel Gt for several years and have not seen an intake that we though was worthy of the car, so finally we worked on it and came up with what we believe is the best intake on the market for the LNF 2.0L Turbo. We started off with a 3" all Aluminum tube, which is the same size as stock. Some of the other intakes on the market are only 2.75" or start off 3" but neck down to 2.75" at the air flow meter. We maintain the stock 3" size all the way from the turbo inlet to the filter. Since this is the same size as stock, it maintains the proper calibration for the MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) which determines and tells the ECM how much air is coming in, if you have the incorrect tube size the ECM has a harder time figuring out how much fuel to give the engine, which can result in Engine lights. So to prevent that we kept the stock 3" tube and gave 7" between the filter and the MAF to help give the MAF nice smooth air to help it give the proper signals to the ECM for fueling. This also means that your tune does not need to be customized for the intake. We also extend our intake all the way to the turbo. We could of saved some money by using the stock plastic piece that comes off of the turbo, but ultimate performanace was our main objective with this intake, and that meant a full 3" intake all the way to the turbo. We also include silicone hose couplers to connect to the turbo and also uniquely use a silicone hump hose to help allow the intake tube to flex with the engine so as not to put any strain where the turbo meets the intake. Although the area in front of the radiator gets a good amount of fresh air from outside the engine bay, while moving slowly or at a stand still, hot air fills the engine bay and intake temps wlll start to rise. To help combat this we designed an intake heat shield to help keep that cold air coming at the filter, but preventing the hot engine bay heat from getting to it. This helps to keep the intake temperatures low, which means your car makes more consistent power. Also if you are looking for some more direct air, with some minor modificatioins, air from the front grill can be directed straight to the filter, giving it even more cold air to breathe. Installation is straightforward and requires no special skills, tools or modifications to install. Combine this with our DDMworks Intercooler and you have one of the best cooling and intake combinations out there!

This looks like an awesome, well thought out product. Has anyone used it yet? Any dyno graphs or HPT logs?
