No, there are no componants in the trunk.

Fairly good sound system, at least for my old ears. Well worth the cost.

I agree. The older I get the better the sound. I have it and like it. Of course the older I get the less I hear. ;-)

Is the only way you can tell that it's a Monsoon system by the speaker behind the passenger seat or does the Monsoon come with one behind both seats?

I only have one behind the passenger seat, should there be one behind the drivers too? I have 7 I think, 2 small speakers behind each seat, one sub behind the passenger seat, two tweeters up front and two mid speakers in the passenger/drive foot wells. That right?

If you have the big speaker behind the passenger seat, you have the Monsoon sound system.
