The Black view is an actual photo of the bottom side of a production piece. From what our AutoX members have reported, the Probeam is legal as long as you don't use the 3 bolts that connect it to the diff crossmember, so just using the lower control arm points is legal.
Thank you for the quick and informative post... exactly why I asked. Great information.

Randy, how much effectiveness do you think you lose by not being able to use the middle bolts? Still worthwhile? And I got mine on after taking a chunk out of it to clear my 2009 exhaust. Very noticeable improvement even the first time I tested it (well, the second, actually - I forgot to take the ESC out of nanny mode the first time I hit a test corner). No sort of double take half way through where it unsettled for a moment before settling into a line again as I experienced before the Probeam - or at least I am assuming that was the effect of the Probeam as I also installed the Backbone at the same time.

Hi there!

I had to "clearance" mine for my stock '06 NA, stock exhaust. I used a grinder to cut a notch out to clear the area. Other than that it fit fine.

My Coupe had clearance issues too. Ended up "massaging" the flange with a 3 lb. drilling hammer and used a section of railroad track for an anvil. It took a couple of trial fits and the consequent re-adjustment before it fit with a bit of clearance - 1/4" or so. So far no rubbing or rattles, so all is well.
