I'll be in DDM Works neck of the woods end of September for an Autocross race. I'll give them a call and see if they will have a SC Sky or Sol that I could check out.
Like I posted on the Sky forum: I want the car to take off fast from traffic lights and really be able to get going from 1st through 4th. I only drive a little over the speed limit so top speed is not a need. Currently I'm pressing the gas all the way down and it still doesn't want to move really fast.

come to Lexington Aug 21 - 24 ... Pontiac Solstice & Saturn Sky | 2008 Southeastern Meet ... there will be about 80 Sols/Skys there .... Randy from DDM will be there and about 3 DDM s/c sols and 1 DDM "special" turbo sol.... there will be a lot to do and you can get a lot of ideas for your Sky
Thanks a bunch you guys!
I just had a chance to read all the post. Looks like DDM Works is the way to go "The best choice for street driven small displacement engines has been the positive displacement supercharger."
Randy & Dave...I got on the forums so I wouldn't have to bother calling you guys with a lot of silly questions. With the great customer service I've heard about, you sure don't have time to be fielding all the forum questions...or so I thought. THANKS!! I hope the info you posted for me will help other and that you saved it for future responses.
So...Randy has a Supercharged 2.4L Sky at the shop? I'll be down that way from Charlotte on Friday Sept 26th. Be calling you guys to see if you'll be open then!
Randy's is a Solstice! You're going to enjoy your visit! Ivy really runs the place (keeps the boys in line) and the watchdog is named Bugger (he'll lick you to death!)!

Sunny, You will not be able to pull all the way to 4th if you only drive a little over the speed limit. My stage I was running 99 mph in the 1/4 mile still in third
Stage 1 was 5.7 0-60 and 14.10 in the quarter
Stage 2 is 4.7 0-60 and has not been to the track

NOT WAITING ANY MORE! DDM Stage III Upgrade here
Debatable with the GXP, completely incorrect when using the generalized term.
Any car with an automatic transmission, and a decent torque converter will allow you to spool the turbo against the torque converter with the brakes applied. A perfect example of this is the GMC Syclone/Typhoon. You could leave the line with 10psi, which created neck snapping G's. Performing a "boosted launch" in one of those cars felt like getting rear ended from a stop by a mack truck.

I hit 4th in the quarter with my Stage 2. I also was spinning all the way through 1st. Direzza Z101's aren't very helpful in terms of hooking.
the Kit is designed to work fine with the stock bottom end. I've got 37,000 miles on my car with the s/c on. No internal mods on my block.
Randy, I have a question. At what mileage on the stock 2.4 ecotech would you not consider or recommend adding the SC without opening it up and rebuilding first?

probably after 100k. at that point, I
'd want to freshen the valve train(springs, chain, etc)

WOW 4.7! Sweeet.
That's basically BACKWARDS of mine. My 2.4L Sky (I think) is rated at 7.4 seconds for 0-60!!
