Figure 5 hours....4 for the first door(lots of head scratching) then 10min reading the instructions, and then 50 min to do the second door.

It's all bolt on...hand tools and something to trim metal with..dremel should work fine

If we get ours before Friday, we will post how to install. Stay tuned.

Anyone have a shot of the doors open from the rear? I want to see how far out the doors go. Thanks!

Do you need to move the battery, etc?

I have been doing some more research, and on a Sky forum it talked about having to move the battery and do some other engine compartment rearrangements as part of the install.

It wasn't too clear about it, but I hope it was from a different product. If I understand you correctly we just need to cut a bit away before installing new hinges, right? Nothing else needs to get moved or re-arranged?

I have an 07 Solstice GXP.

Do you know of any PDFs of the instruction sheet?

My friends all say yes---the wife is still saying no--but I am still working on it! Wish me luck!

Allright guys, I have decided against this mod. You can take me off the list, good luck though!

After research Deep and I feel this is the best brand of vertical doors. We have seen them installed on a GXP and there is no way the battery has to be moved.

Jeesh, do not chicken out because of comments based on conjecture. It is just a piston and a hinge replacement. A small piece of the fender mounting bracket has to be knocked off (you will never see this and even if you are drunk when you attempt this a screw up beyond belief, a new fender is really cheap) and Joe and I have taken off the fenders quite a few times. (Just about 8 bolts and one hidden bolt). Joe has even cut away parts of his fenders ( See his side vents). Then a small indent has to be made in a area underneath the hood. Some idiot had a professional do it and they just banged away with a hammer. (Maybe thats why they thought it took so long and was so hard). There is a much more professional way. I have a great deal of power tool experience (on people, not cars) and Joe worked on F18's during his military career. Do not worry, it will not be a disaster to install if you want these.

NO, as you can see from the photos I provided the battery is in the original position.

Take me off the list. Just too many other financial obligations right now.

Might consider it later.

I guess most of the discussion is on this thread, not the other one... Now I can keep up with it...

You can take me off the list too. I would do it...But I have a strong feeling I will be getting rid of my sol for the new G8 GXP when it comes out. Thanks for the offer though!
