Sprintbooster Install guidelines - Please read!

After a few phone calls from some customers regarding how to install their Sprintbooster I decided to put together this little installation guideline thread to hopefully help everyone out.

Step 1) Locate the factory Drive by wire harness attached near the top of the throttle pedal assembly under the dash.

Step 2) Remove the pink locking pin from the DBW connector and unplug the connector.

Step 3) Insert the Sprintbooster module into the pedal assembly connector, it will be very hard to insert, press firmly and make sure it is fully seated and clipped in before proceeding to the next step.

Step 4) Plug in the OEM DBW harness connector into the end of the Sprintbooster module, again it will be hard to insert, make sure it is fully seated and clipped in before attempting to start vehicle. Re-insert the pink locking pin through the OEM connector.

***Failure to make sure both the Sprintbooster module and harness are fully seated could result in the throttle going to wide open position upon startup***

Step 5) Make sure car is in park or neutral with the emergency brake fully engaged before attempting to start vehicle.

Step 6) Start vehicle and begin having fun!

Have fun!

Also, when everything is firmly attached, you will not be able to separate the connections by pulling on it. Make sure they don't come apart after a gentle pull. After you do the pull test, push it in firmly one last time to ensure a good connection. Make sure to re-insert the pink clip!! After that...hold on to your pants!

Is this the connector identified in the Service Manual as the Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) Sensor?
