We are also in the process of adding a water/meth injection to the car and we should have some even better numbers for you all soon!

Here is a quick breakdown on the costs involved with a typical WERKS 2.0 Tturbo system -

460hp 2.0T turbo kit with high flow cat = $3050.00
TIAL race BOV = $239.99
AEM tru boost controller = $289.99
Dyno tuning = $500.00
Installation labor - $900.00

Total = $4979.98, not to bad I would say!
But I think that still leaves out several of your recommended parts:

WERKSracing Race front mount intercooler
WERKSracing 3" exhaust system
WERKSracing 3" cold air intake
AEM UEGO wideband gauge

I would love to do this to my car! After these enhancements, would you recommend a brake upgrade?

hi dave,

so basically you're saying that this kit will only give about 340ish whp? Because 340whp is that power that it can maintain without going into limp mode? and not really 460 crank hp? Since if you go above 22.5psi for 3 secons the 460hp goes to limp mode? I'm kinda confused, sorry

YOu think that once you get the map sensor solution......that 460hp will stay longer than 3 seconds?

thanks!

Yes, you would need those parts in place to get to the power level that we are at. I left those out for SKY888 as he showed most of those parts already installed in his signature. If you go to this power level I would reccomend at least our basic brake upgrade package which is available here -

WERKSracing Sol/SKY Brake package

Of course if yu want to really stop go with the Rotora Big Brake kit -

Rotora Front Big Brake Kit

The turbo kit will support up to 460whp and that is why we named it the 460hp turbo kit. Past that point the turbo will become in-effeceint and will be maxed out. It is simply a name of a product. I have talked to guys who were interested in our kit who simply say the 3 seconds is good enough for them and others who don't, for now this is unfortunately our only solution. Yes, expect to see around 340ish at the wheels at 22.5 psi on 93 Octane fuel all day long. With the addition of a water/meth kit I would estimate that 375 would be attainable at 22.5 psi. Once we have the new map sensor(s) soultion figured out virtually any amount of boost will be available, of course it will then be limited mechanically and by fueling requirements, both of those we are working on as well.

Hope that helps!

Well 340 RWHP is about 408 BHP at the crank.
That is the power of a LS2.

hey thanks for the break down of prices!

by the way, how much will be the tune you are using now, if you'll just email it to me using HP tuner?

At least I already have a base tune from you, and I can do my own tweaking.

Thanks!

This kit is outrageous!!!! A couple of questions Dave. What would it take to get the 2.4 kits up to that level. I'm using the Precision SC5031RLB turbocharger with a 54mm inducer compressor wheel, and a T31 exhaust wheel. I keep thinking on how I could get a bigger Ic in there. Even thought of splitting the crash bar. I think I need a bigger I/c.

2. I like the new manifold. Can I modify it to fit on the 2.4. I figure I'll to weld up a new downpipe. I want 400HP!

A complete bolt on 430 horsepower kit would kick a$$. If the customer only needs to pull the trigger once then it's that much more desirable.
sarcasm and desirable ?.....

manuals sold separately ,hahaha,,, come on !..... thats crazy..... asking a vendor to resell manuals !..... if you are too cheap or lazy to already have a set of manuals....you might wanna invest that $100 before you tackle a project of this scope.... ( the $400 dvd manual set would be nice)... and thats all the sarcasm i can muster

now as far as desirable- you have to remember my experience with the incomplete kit and no tune.......... a hightmare i wouldn't wish on anyone

instructions yes !... i assume some are included......... but if its a $900 install - that oughta be nuff said for the clueless,

hahaha no discouragement intended - its gotta be easier for a factory boosted car!!!......... if a girl with zero experience could do an NA,,,,,,,, yall can muddle thru this....... it shouldn't be that tuff.....

i have the werks 2.4 radiator and my opinion of these guys...... well the radiator was pure art...... primo quality i'm excited for you guys..........and enjoying this thread....good stuff ..........

brady you musta touched a nerve hahaha........ crankin me up !.... i think you are (((thinking ))) on track & i liked your post

the wide band bung and tune are absolute >gotta haves......... imo oughta come with - might as well add that to the kit price....

.. $350 tune not included ----- i'm not going to be sarcastic....... there might be 1 or 2 people capable of / not wanting a tune included .....( we can prolly name them on 3 fingers )
.... a production kit - tune included should be a no brainer... just my opinion but the tune is the most important component i feel like after all i went thru-- trust me on that..............

well at least the moderate cookie cutter mail order tune- ! without a tune its going to be no fun ........... least ways picture an exciting weekend ( or prolly more like taking a few vacation days for a long weekend of installing $3000 of goodies and going str8 into limp mode

a gauge cluster - there's just too many issues of personal taste....and everyone is not going to add ----- ( tho some options are always nice )....forget that and stick to basics.........

the bung would be a lot easier during production than after the fact...(been there done that ).. we're talkin a $5 piece and 5 more minutes .. ..compared to the pia factor for the customer.... yep added plus and makes good sense

no disrespect guys.... ... jack the price up whatever you feel is fair....

my opinion
anyone investing that kinda corn to mod a 30k car is not going to cheap out on omitting a hiflo cat or the TUNE......... its not about whats ____"desireable" _____ its about the basics ---> $3000 sounds cheap and rosy enuff but we both know they need the tune

i'd love to see the day people actually talk/ discuss tuning here......... at this point i realise its wayyyy beyond the scope of 99%normal mortals...lol... hptuner is a fabulous toy but without pro guidance..... beyond realistic for most people... anyway in a nutshell

........ no sarcasm........just fact plain and simple..........it ain't complete without the tune....
...$350 for a mail order tune sold separately is fair enuff for someone wanting a starting point.... as in for someone like me who assembled their own components, has hp and wants somebody elses perspective

sounds pricey tho for someone who just bought all the $3000 package /components from you......

..... better to just charge $3350 from the get go.......... which still sounds pretty dayum good !!! better to offer a discount without the tune than omit it....
... yep i think its that important.......hahaha my civic duty to remind people.......yuh can't leave home without it

congrats and thanks for all the exciting support..........

i'm going to have to fork up the dyno tune bucks - i was leaning towards askin randy /ddm....
..all my options are long distance or i'm sure i'd have gotten to it by now...........i figured the ball park was $500........ i'd love to see what yall could do with it

keep up the good werk

To clarify -

$100.00 for an e-mail base tune for this kit if you purchase it through us.

$350.00 if you did not purchase your kit through us.

Wow! Thanks for all of the good input!!! I nother markets such as the SRT-4 and EVO community there are lots of turbo kits designed and sold without tunes included, it is very common.

Rest assured we will be offering a package with at least a tune included shortly!

Yepper, and usually because people have their own tuners. But, I have to admit, tuners are easier to come by in the more eastern parts of this country for this car. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there really isn't anyone out in the western states that can custom tune our cars.

Actually the fuel mileage is still very good. We see 20-22 mpg around town and 26-28 mpg on the highway on 93 Octane fuel.
