Thanks for the reply, and for suppressing any amusement at my n00bness.

You also answered my unasked second question about keeping the stock tips - I'll double-check with the shop that'll be doing the install to make sure the welding isn't an issue, but I'm sure I'll be ordering from you shortly.

We have tried a lot of different tips and some are acceptable but we haven't found any that match the car as well as the originals. It would be possible to sell the kit without any tips, then you could get a shop to weld your's on. Another possibility would be to cut off and ship us your tips and then we could use them for your kit... Hope this helps and thanks for your interest.
Just in case you want an unsolicited opinion on your tips on the Solo Street Race kit, they are a big improvement over the OEMs and seem to be of better quality as well. The tip angle on the Solo looks way better than the original.-bird

Well I'm very sad to report that Shabby's engine light came back on. Well over 500 miles and two weeks later... Very disappointing. A forum member recently forwarded me some information on drive cycles and other OBDII nuances. THANKS. This info should certainly speed up our testing time. For those of you waiting for the Mach kit and Cat to be shipped together, the offer still stands to ship them separately. ( We'll take care of the Cat shipping costs. ) Thanks for your patience - mine is a bit thin right now.

P.M. price and shipping charge of the racing exhaust and high flow cat to the 91706. Just wondering if you guys also make a resinated test pipe in place of the high flow cat. Oh and how would that combo sound. Thanks

Mach Exhaust

I just had the street race for my GXP changed to a Mach system. I really like both of them, good quality work by Solo. The street race was just a bit loud for the retirement community where I live. The Mach should keep me in good standing with my neighbors while still making the Solstice sound as a sports car should.

By the way, if anyone wants to purchase the rear portion of the street race let me know. All that would be required is the front pipe,

Just a quick update on the GXP cat. Shabby just e-mailed me to say that our new fix has over 500 miles on it and still no engine light. I learned how to insert the smile just for this occasion. Lol. It's still a bit early to celebrate but with a little luck we might have a GXP cat that we can offer soon. Thanks for your patience with this one.

Hi Solid. Thanks for your consideration. Yes the forum discounted price still applies. There are several reasons that ours is more expensive. We try hard to keep our costs in check and our prices low. Our design of the Mach system and what's included in the kit ( and we're a much smaller company ) account for the price differential. Thanks for updating the thread! Feel free to PM or call if you would like.

Will you be doing installs again at this year's national in Vegas? A number of people in our local club alone are highly interested. I am sure the popularity you enjoyed at last year's event will be easily matched in Vegas.

Hi MeanGXP. Thanks for your interest! We're looking forward to Nationals in Vegas this year. It's going to be a great time. We're bringing product and will be doing installs. We are taking appointments for those that may know what they want. For anyone wanting rear center duals now is the time for us to order your painted valence from Norm. Feel free to call if you have questions or orders etc. 905-703-1557 ( Jeff ) Thanks.

I have over 6000 miles on the new high flow cat with the magnaflow 3" and no CEL. BTW, I have performed two highflow cat installs at my house using 4 jackstands and a floor jack to raise the engine. If you are installing yourself, do yourself a favor and loosen the left motor mount before you jack the motor.

Hi Solid. The only difference is the length of the muffler. The Mach is 14" long and the Shorty is 11" long. What this gives is 2 different exhaust notes. The Mach is classed as quiet performance while the Mach Shorty is classed as moderate sounding performance. Both are a no drone system that never gets out of hand but the Shorty does have a bit more volume to it. I hope this helps. Thanks.

I am told my system sounds like a cross between a 60's E and a Healey, not an Austin, a freaking race prepped JENSEN HEALEY

The posted audio clips do no justice to the system. Randy at DDM liked it
