maybe it's just me but does it seem like the street race ehxaust system hangs really low? i've also noticed in other threads where people have posted pictures of their installation and it also seems theirs hang low too.
also, is it normal for the front pipe to have some play? i can physically move it up higher with my hands, however, it won't stay because i can't turn the nuts that far on the studs that hold the front pipe to the cat pipe. i just want to make sure i'm not driving around with it the way it is if it shouldn't be like this.
hard to tell. it would be easier if you could snap a picture with the car sitting on level ground with the camera as close to the ground as possible. i'll post a picture of mine in a few minutes.
Hello I happen to be here late painting a rear diffusser. Now the clamps provided you need to have them where the bolts are on the side not at an angle also the boss crimps up against the metal wrap around flap so that it pinches tighter as you tighten the bolts. You may have to use a washer to take up the extra length on the studs for them to tighten up, cause youre right you shouldnt be able to move the pipe up and down by hand. Its not like you do this all the time so not to worry. Thanks Norm
well, after 2 hours of messing around with it, i think i got it fixed.
i disassembled the entire exhaust for the third time. when i removed the front pipe, the two nuts and bolt were stripped onto the boss. i had to go to walmart to get a hacksaw and cut the botls in half. i was cussing like a sailor.
anyway, i got it all back together. i used the bolts, nuts, and washers that were supplied with the solo exhaust. now the exhaust doesn't hang so low.
i just now finished and its already 1:45am! it's too late to go for a test drive; too many drunks on the road. have to wait til the morning hours. i'll report back with my results.
This is just a guess but I bet that they paid someone to build the site and as such don't want to pay someone again every time that there is a fluctuation in prices.

yeah, i see that. i wasn't using the term correctly. I don't like the dual exhausts with the muffler in the middle (like GXP OEM) but after seeing the RPi exhaust i was hooked; it truly is a work of art. Now i see this one and i get to do a little more research.

Agreed, unfortunately it's an expensive piece of art
