I tryed to download the NASSOA Insurance Request Form which I take it is for those of us who are planning an event and it downloads the Mecca Tour Registration/Wavier Form?
Also in the Members Section it states the following:
"Who and What is Covered Any event organized by a member in good standing* is covered under the NASSOA Liability Insurance Policy. NASSOA members and non-members alike are covered while in attendence.
Any event location which requires proof of insurance in order for a club or member to hold an event on their premises can be presented with a Certificate of Insurance provided that the organizer of the event is a NASSOA member in good standing*.
Any location/premises that requires that they be named on a Certificate of Insurance will be provided to the event organizer with prior application to NASSOA provided the event organizer is a member in good standing*. "
It doesnt say anything about having to submit your event for approval? So am I confused?

Please advise: thanks, Kim
ALL event organizers must be NASSOA members ... in order to verify that the form must be filled out and sent to the address listed on the form. That is the 'approval' process. Once the organizer is verified to be a member, the event proven to be all inclusive - i.e. posted on the open forum, open to any Solstice/Sky owner. Then the insurance coverage will be 'approved'
Also, some events require copies of our liability coverage or a certificate that also names a facility along with the event/club. This information is need in hard copy to be forwarded to our insurance carrier in order to process the certificate.

There seems to be a 'mispost' of the document on the NASSOA website for the insurance form.
We hope to have this issue rectified asap ... thank you for your patience in this situation!

Kathy, Is there a cost to the organizers for this insurance, if so what are the rates?
No cost ..... that is one of the privileges of NASSOA membership. Just fill out the form and send it in. (form & info found in the members' only area on North American Solstice Sky Owners Association)
Your event is a long time out .... no need to apply now - wait until a month before please. TY.

So, I'll wait a couple more weeks before I submit for Big Bend.
