It was a previlege to be able to present the Boxwood Plant and UAW Local #435 with a Honorary Lifetime membership to NASSOA. The framed membership was presented to Bob Dolan - Plant Manger, Dave Meyers - UAW President, and Dennis Hammond - UAW Chairman.
Because this presentation took place inside to plant we do not yet have pictures of the nice frame that the "membership" was encased in - but attached is a picture of "membership card".
While many of the council members attended MECCA II just as many others did - as owners - we also used the opportunity to meet with some of the GM/Pontiac/Saturn personnel that were in attendance from Detroit. Many good things came from this meeting as well as allowing them to see our passion for helping GM lead this platform into the future. We are looking forward to working with these great people!
Also, this weekend while many of us were enjoying the wonderful event in Deleware - one of our NASSOA members was in Atlanta covering the Formula D Drift Event with Ryhs Millen Racing and Garvella Racing. He will doing a very nice article for our members - we were told that the Garvella Race Team came looking for HIM to interview their driver.
