Perhaps in good time...costs are up all over for us, and these are selling well at the moment

Isn't he stock surge valve cover plate required if you do the BOV upgrade? Just wondering since you are selling it separately.

I am thinking you probably could just cap the stock surge valve and be fine. The plate is a nice aesthetic upgrade. That's my guess.
oh, ok. I was wonder on you GMPP CAI, if you do the upgrade, is the tube that is coming out just behind the turbo going to be a problem. You have to cut the CAI to install the new hoses.

I would have to cut the tube, but I don't think I am going to venture into doing that just yet. I'm not running insane horsepower so I don't really see the need for the upgrade as of now. The price is not bad, but I have other stuff to purchase first that have more functionality for me at this point. I have an auto too, so it won't serve as much a purpose as my shifts are quick and boost stays high. I think the OEM surge valve is doing it's job well enough right now. Looks like a real nice item though.

We are offering it separately because it will not be required in every instance, i.e.: aftermarket turbochargers.

If you are referring to the quick-release breather tube (the one that likes to easily break on the stock plastic duct), we provide a nice steel replacement for it in this system, so it's accomodated even if one trims an aftermarket intake tube to work with our system.

Yes, I couldn't find any photos of the breather tube on your new setup. Can you post one?

I kind of wish it was TIAL, but it will work just fine.
So how will it work with the GMPP intake? It's hard to tell exactly how it fits but essentially you have a crossover between the intake pipe and the charge pipe out of the turbo. How much of the GMPP intake will need to be cut off, is the silicone angle and the intake angle the same? Will everything line up perfectly with the GMPP intake?
95% of the people that purchase this will have stock GXPs with stock turbos, what will need to be done for installation? Is the stock BOV being removed completely or capped? Where is the vacuum line for the BOV coming from?
It kind of sucks that for warranty concerns the GMPP intake can no longer be installed on its' own since it has been cut. If a turbo goes bad I can see a "Stealer" reporting to GM that the aftermarket BOV caused the turbo failure.
Thanks!

It's 100% easy. Our molded silicone hose ducts replace the stock ducts. The GMPP intake would need to be trimmed back a few inches to basically end where the stock airbox outlet used to be.

A quick click on the website link in the first post will answer most of this. The signal line (vacuum and boost) is taken from the stock valve and extended to this one.

Ah yes, and so it goes with aftermarket mods. From that perspective, a dealer could blame a turbo failure on an exhaust or air intake too...ANY mods one makes run the risk of voiding powertrain warranty. The advice remains: no mods, no worries. Choose mods, then choose their possible results. Simple!

Good thing I have the stock airbox hanging on the wall. We'll need a youtube vid when you get the chance!
How will your BOV set up sound with the partial throttle modulation? I'm not sure how to explain it other then as a drawn out sucking sound that occurs while matching the throttle to a down-shift when causally coming to a stop up a hill. The sound might occur when you’re coming down from a higher RPM and higher boost, but you still need throttle and a bit of boost to go up a hill or accelerate slightly? Right now it’s off and on between vacuum and boost, while trying to keep a smooth transition between the two I get a bit of bucking caused by the factory BOV not giving me any variance between 0 vaccuum and boost.
Would your BOV be adjustable for a smoother transition between 0 vacuum and boost or am I just not used to the super fast spool of a tiny turbo and D.I.
Thanks Bill and Co, this BOV looks great!

Ah yes...the mid-throttle condition where the valve is slightly open due to vacuum and boost conditions existing simultaneously...vacuum downstream of the throttle, boost upstream.
This system will sound pretty much like any other under these conditions. Will the sound be noticeable? I've not found it so. The strong point here is, now we have adjustability that can be used to offset any unintended opening that may be occurring under such conditions.
