Have seen a lot of posts from people wanting info on installing "Lambo" kits on their Solstices.

Have NOT seen any posts from anyone getting any good info from vendors/installers/owners. Any happy campers out there?

I am VERY interested in getting a kit that can be installed as a bolt-on with a minimum of hassle. I have not a novice, but am very leery of getting a kit that the vendor will not be up-front about the installation or provide support info. (Them kits ain't cheap).

KAPPASPHERE--are you still selling this kit at the $1,099.00 price you advertised in April on this forum? (Present on-line price is $1499.00 I think?) Are you willing to send me install info for this kit so I can make an intelligent buy decision? (And not the "generic kit info", which I already have from VDI.)

Any other kit vendors ready to take the same challenge??

Owners/installers: Any help available?

Thanks for ANY help anyone can provide.

Check with your local dealership, we have two dealerships here in Phoenix that have done at least 11 vertical door kits in the past 18 months.

it's a very time consuming install....this isn't for the light hearted. i was very scared to cut into my side fenders, but it got much more comfortable when it got to cutting my hood. it took me and my autobody friend 8 hours to install. done somewhere reputable, the kit and install should cost $2,000 all together.

if i was to help someone do this, i'd probably charge around $500 or more for installation. it's a pain in the ass. it was hardwork for me, but the result is amazing. you'll have to get used to lifting the doors up and you'll be more anal about other people driving your car b/c if people don't know how to use them, they will mess up your door hinges. after installing them i'm so sketchy about bringing my into the dealership if i have any issues in the future. i'll probably be standing there watching their every move

I thought the Lambo Doors were bolt-ons and didn't need any cutting. Most of the desciptions say this. Now that I have custom fenders and soon hopefully a new hood, this sounds like the last thing I'd want to do even though I really want them.

these are far from being bolt-on kits....not for novices! once the lambo hinges are on, there is a lot of small tweeks that need to be made as well as the cutting.......there will be sparks flying in this install, beware!

Thanks to Abel at Kappasphere for sending me install info on the Lambo kit. It looks fairly straightforward as to installation. Just REALLY hate the idea of cutting/modifying those body parts to make the hinges fit.
