So I'm coming back from a trip that takes me from Ruston, LA to Natchitoches, LA on Hwy 167 headed north when my passenger and I spot a giant GIANT buck standing on the right side of the road I have someone behind me so I can't totally jam on the brakes but I brake hard and head for the middle of the road. WHAM takes out the passenger mirror, door, rear quarter and a little damage to the windshield molding. Neither of us were hurt, thank god. Well I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking.
OUCH!!! With that much damage are you sure it wasn't a moose? I'm glad you are safe. The damage all looks like it is cosmetic, nothing with the frame or suspension, so the fix should be quick and it shouldn't leave any lasting problems.

A deer tried to sell me a "slightly used" red right outside mirror for a Solstice. I didn't buy it because he looked a little shifty and I was pretty sure it was stolen. If only I'd known....
I'm glad you're okay, and I hope you get it back looking good as new before you start to miss it.

Ex-Miata Man: No no moose, I don't want to know what a moose would do to one of these things. The damage I hope is mainly cosmetic, it rolled the door frame in a bit. I would take daylight pics but the car is already at the shop and insurance adjuster set for Tuesday 1-2-2007.
AustinTashis: He he he... that's pretty good I'll have to tell a few people that one about the mirror. I hope too get it back to good as new!

It sounds to me like that deer was waiting for you I'm thinking your Mazda might be in on it!

seems like you made a good save too, did you make a little left before hitting it? Good to hear everyone is ok, and the car seems fine, you won't tell the difference after thay take care of it.

AustinTashis: Don't know what happened to the deer we looked and never saw him, he said his job was done. I'm out! :-)
Old Soldier: I hope the Tribute wasn't in on it, but i have been driving my car alot... hmm
archer: Luckily there was no one coming on the other side so yes I was well over into the left lane by the time I realized he was coming at me. I hope it did help. Note to self get one of those deer whistle things put on front of car when I get it back :-)
