Anyone notice that when you look at pics there are no antennas showing! Well seeing the long and ugly one I thought a stubby one would be cool and since I will have XM it won't make a difference. However using a mp3 player is might? Where do you guys find these?

Okay... so I checked the site. Good stuff. But confused on the different lengths. Why would you not just go with the shortest one possible? Is there a reception difference?

It's more of a taste thing, really...
...for instance, I got a 2.55' stubby because I want it short... but I wouldn't personally want a 6" because I would want one that is the same height as the windshield, so I'd probably go with a 12" if i was getting a mast.
Advance Auto has a short (approx 12") antenna for $5. It screws right onto the original stud and the reception is fantastic. Don from our club found the antenna. I have changed mine over as have other NEO Club members.

I plan on keeping my mast in my trunk for when I do travel outside my area, and I desire to listen to the local radio.
That'a a great idea. I also use the 2.55 stubby because 99 percent of the time I want NO reception because I use an aftermarket XM set which broadcasts FM to your radio, and sometimes(especially in the larger cities), local stations interfere with the XM, but I could see perhaps being in a different city where you might need to listen to a local broadcast. My mast will go in the trunk today. Thanks for the post.

I live in Los Angeles California where we have lots of tall buildings. Do you think I'll have a good reception with the 6" antenna. I really like to look of it. Please advise. Thanks.

Glad to provide the idea. I just thought about "What if I drive mountains, and want radio?"
