Well,

It happened. I was stopped at a stop light, minding my own business, when a Ford F150 decided he didn't want to stop, plowed into the back of me at 30-40 mph. Shoved me out into the intersection. Completely obliterated my trunk. The good news, my wife and I survived with some whiplash. Getting ready to go to the hospital, just to make sure.

Just to let you all know, that is one hell of a car!! My trunk is completely gone, crumpled all the way up to the cockpit. There are scuff marks on my hood and fender jams where the impact rocked through the car. The doors still open fine, and my wife and I walked out. I was impressed with this car before, but seeing it handle an impact like that was incredible!! I'm going to write to Pontiac next. But thought I'd share that with you all. I'll post some pics as soon as I can transfer them out of my cell phone.

I'm really glad the two of you are okay. This car seems to have a good reputation for protecting us on many levels.

Wow! Hope the results from the hospital are good for you both and its minor whiplash.

I continue to be impressed with how this car protects the occupants in all types of collisions.

Glad to hear that you and the wife are okay. Also good to continually hear how well the Solstice is built.

I hope I'm not asking this too early, but do you think you'll try and replace it with another Solstice? Sounds like you're really happy with the safety aspects, anyway.

Wow,Glad you and you wife are not to badly hurt.So far from what i have seen of the smashed up Solstice here on the forums .They protect pretty well. Your like the third Solstice this month to give it's life for their owners.
Did your air bags deploy?

Just want to add my sentiment...similar to all the other.
Your guardian angels and a good car won out over the F150. Sure hope your whiplash is minor.
