Has anyone noticed that the deck lid is higher on one side than the other? I just noticed that the side behind the driver is about 1/4" higher than the rear section at the back end. The passenger side of the deck is flush. I've never stored anything in the "trunk" so I'm not sure if was always like this and I never noticed (not likely) or if something is out of alignment.

Thanks

If you are going to the Plant tour in Delaware, they will align your deck lid for you. Normally that is caused when improperly closing the trunk. There is a possibility that you have received the car like this.

The best way to prevent it from flexing more is by closing it where the humps start behind the drivers side or the passengers side seat. To best describe it, the frame is the strongest place on the trunk. Commonly kappa owners will use the silver ring where the top clips in on the trunk lid.

I've always made a point to close it using one of the humps but thanks for the affirmation.

BTW, been off of the forum for a while - when is the Delaware tour?

If you still want to go PM JustMike for a waiver. They are not turning anybody away.

My GXP has the same problem, which the service department could not figure out. I noticed a GXP in the dealer's lot that was the same. Since I pointed that out to the service department, they wrote on the repair order that I was satisfied. I was not.
My 06 Solstice lid was perfect all around!

What I *thought* was a misaligned trunk was actually a misaligned LATCH.

The wonderful FIX-IT guys at the TLC tent at MECCA fixed it right up!

I close mine using the tiedowns for the factory luggage rack. It works great. They are connected directly to the structure inside the trunk.

Does anyone know where the adjustment for the rear deck lid is at?
