E brake trim

how do you get the silver trim off the e brake?

I simply wedged a very thin bladed screw driver under the silver tip portion--the elongated top portion--then lifted up. Once this portion was lifted, I pushed the silver tip forward until it slipped off.

I took this portion off first then used a razor knife to cut off the boot in order to install my Momo e-brake handle. Although this e-brake cover is not made for our car it was not all that much to make it work for the Solstice.

Here is a photo of the e-brake cover replacement. Matches the Momo shift knob I had previously installed.
