Next!! Picture eleven is of the trunk lid removed and the hinge plate installed. Picture twelve is a better view of the hinge plate. Picture thirteen is trunk lid on the floor ready to be put in storage. Picture fourteen is the plastic cover plate behind seats. Picture fifteen shows how it is slightly warped. Will have to figure out how to fix...double sided tape?
So with this top, you leave the rag top on the SOL?

The soft top can be removed, or it can be left in place. Removing it increases cargo space significantly, and would be the way to go if the SportWagon top is going to be used extensively or exclusively. Alignment of the top is reported to be fairly difficult, so leaving it in place is desirable if the SportWagon top is only going to be used intermittently.

I somehow must have missed the latest posts on this thread! Yes, the garage is relatively clean and the stupid plant is taking up valuable space...but momma keeps it in there during the winter months due to the garage being heated. Even tho' it is a clean environment, why is it every time I put a tool down, I cannot find it? Oh yeah, I remember, I got PO'd and threw the darn wrench, just missing the front fender/hood of my MG Midget and now the wrench is embedded in the drywall!! ...I have several fairly fresh drywall patches in my garage!! The soft top is going to stay on the car for the time being. Will see if I like the hardtop and decide what to do at that point. The top is currently at my friends house getting body and paint work. Not sure when it will be done. Considered putting a vinyl top on it, which is cheaper than paint, but my wife and some others said it would look too much like a hearse! My wife says as it is now, it looks like something Batman would drive!! Well, she can stay home and my young, good looking neighbor can go riding with me...

Holy Hardtop Batman, you're wife must be a real Joker.

OEM vert decklid removed (vert top removal only recommended if you to go long-term due to vert realignment issues), front of EDAG top has L/R locating pins (but no center latch mechanism), rear bolted to included new replacement stamped metal subframe and new included, heavy-duty, relocation brackets. Last price heard was around $650, originally priced @ $2499.
Correct, there is no center latch mechanism but there is a J-bolt that takes its place. Will post a picture when I get my top back. Yes, I paid $650 + Indiana sales tax for a grand total of $700. Now I am spending more money for body/paint work, window removal and replace.
Few have been advertised on Ebay, last one went for around $450 few weeks ago (2/25/13). There was also a tan vinyl EDAG top being advertised but unsure if it was ever sold. http://www.pontiacforum.com/pontiac/...ad.php?t=28907

techcote : Okay, I want one. Does anybody know of another for sale?
If you are able to get one from Peter or if you find one anywhere outside driving range be prepared: The shipping is likely to cost more than the top.

ChopTop : Best bet is to contact Peter. .....
Correct.
The last time I talked to him most of what he had left were raw shells and glass. He was trying to source hinges, latches, door seals, installation hardware, etc to put together complete "kits".
