GM Performance Div Hot Rod LS7 Solstice in MN!

There was a red GM Performance Division LS1 equiped Sol at the Car Kraft show at the State Fair Grounds this last weekend. Had a GXP front end with custom spoiler, custom side vent pockets, custom vented lower valance, dual outlet center exhaust. Full roll cage and over-sized chrome 5-spokes. Had the words "HOT ROD test car" on the sides and "GM Performance Division" on the windshield. Is this one making the rounds?

A friend took pics but I won't have them until tommrrow. If anyone is interested I'll try and scan a photo I have. Might be old news, did a search but nothing came up.

That is the project car from Hot Rod magazine. It's on their web site, think it's been making the rounds at some shows. How did it look?

If that is the Hot Rod mag car that puppy has as LS7 under the bonnet. It ran on the Power Tour this year. Though it looked better in person than in the magazine. Lots of carbon fiber pieces.

Read somewhere that every body panel was redone in carbon fiber.

As a rule I don't like modified Sol's I've seen but this one was sharp. I really liked the lower valance and side scoop treatment. Did not care much for the air dam. I'll post the "real" pics when I get them tomorrow.

A side note, and an apology to all the "aggressive" Sol owners. I never liked this car in red, now I know why. I don't like the silver painted grill on a red car, makes it look anemic. Now I see a red Sol with a black grill and "Wow"! That looks nice! Would consider red in a heartbeat but the grill would have to be black!

They look even meaner when you take the grill out. I had mine out to chrome it and I was surprised how good it looked with a big black hole in the front. Or rather two big empty nostrils
