Has anyone ever tried using wide body kits made for other cars i.e. FRS or BRZ to put on the solstice.
This crossed my mind the other day and made me curious if any one has tried doing this already.
All the widebody Kappa's I've seen look to be custom jobs.
BTW, NormsFiberglass has installed widened rear fenders on a coupe before (search; Pitbull Solstice), and started on a widebody kit for our cars but never completed it. But I believe he can offer both two and three inch widen rear quarter panel versions. However, they are styled to look stock.
When it comes to these on-trend custom jobs, the question that you have to ask yourself is that while it may look cool now....will it look just as cool in 15 or 20 years?
If anyone on the forum would have done it, it would have been this guy who was into the Stance Nation culture (but is currently selling the car w/different wheels);
I wouldn't recommend it....the amount of time that you'll be in it JUST to attempt to get the incorrect kit to fit could be better spent making your own...or paying a shop to do it correct the first time.
my future plan is to do a widebody that's very similar to a LB or RB kit......but then again, I don't want to call it that...it's just how the style is (bolted on, not integrated/permanently attached)
