I just bought a 2007 Solstice GXP on 8/2/2008 with 31k miles on it.
I won't hamper on because I know most won't read that much, but in short...
Originally I had my mind set on a C5 Corvette. I thought the power was insane and the looks were incredible for the car, but then I forgot about the Saturn Sky / Solstice cars. I always have liked the Solstice's looks more than the Sky's. After driving the Solstice... I can easily tell you I made the right decision.
The Solstice in my opinion is one of the finest cars (if not THE finest) car I've ever driven. I have driven a C5 before, a Ford Lightning, 2003 Cobra Vert, and some other basic vehicles, but nothing compares to the feeling I got in this car.
Legit Complaints based on reviews I've read on Motortrend and The Truth About Cars:
-The cupholders position is a little annoying, but I use the passenger side cupholder when I am alone. A little innovation wouldn't hurt anyone now and days..
-The window switch placement. Why GM, why??
-Why such a tall antenna? That is so 1993.
-Stock exhaust. It isn't loud enough!!!
-Sunlight at the wrong angle + Gauges = You better just follow traffic speeds
-The leather likes to wrinkle on the bottom of the seat!

I'm buying treatment tonight to see if that helps.
That is really about it in my opinion, now the positives:
-The engine... My god the engine, I've never driven a turbo car but I definitely am in love with this one! When it pulls you and the passenger both know you are about to haul some serious booty!
-Interior is simplistic and to the point. Yes it isn't an Infiniti, as 1/2 of the parts can be found in a Malibu / Cobalt, but it isn't as hideous as a C5 Vette I was going to look at (flat out embarassing).
-Stereo system is FAN-F'in-TASTIC!! In my last car I had spent $1,000+ on a JL setup and this Monsoon system is just as good! I was shaking the mirrors in the car!
-Why the complaints on the soft top by the mags / bloggers? It is very simple to put up and down and I can do it in under 30 seconds. Maybe obesity would go down if we had to move more to do things. I'm used to dealing with a Jeep Wrangler that would take 30 minutes to put the top down!!
-The seats are unbelievably comfortable and look awesome
-Doesn't take long to clean at all!
Overall: Brilliant car and well worth the monthly payment!

I feel very fortunate to own such a fine vehicle at 23 years of age.
