Isn't that the truth, we only just got our sol in october and in a month or so I was cut off way more than I was after a whole year on the motorbike but the loud pipes do help I guess. I guess its like driving a go cart in traffic

Oh, its not all that bad. It only bothered me a little the first time I watched it.

Now when I watch it the only thing I find graphic and disturbing about it is the fact that I'm watching such a beautiful car being mangled. =P

Watching that video, you can clearly see that the trucker drove out into traffic. The white pickup truck was nearly hit, then you see the Sol hit it coming the other way. I'm supportive of truckers (my father-in-law is a lifelong trucker), but I'd say he pulled out into traffic and put his truck in danger of causing an accident. I know the letter of the law probably won't find him guilty of anything, but this video paints a picture that he was more in a hurry to keep up with his buddy, than to safely pull out into traffic.


Definitely a rough hit on the car. Glad that you are okay. Being that you are in OKC area, it's a shame to know that it's one less Solstice I'll see driving around here. I'm down in Norman. I hope you get another one, and hope to see you at Cars and Coffee. Best wishes!

... it all sounds/looks very painful......ruff row to hoe......couldn't believe out hosp so fast & so busted up.....glad to hear almost there in recovery !!! SCARY stuff watchin video - hellava hit and live thru it .......god bless yuh jake- hang in there bud.......went thru a long rebuild myself once......cept think i was a mean wuss the whole time

Where did you get that video from? Nearby gas station or security cam someplace?

Not many have a video of their collision....one that shows a near miss of the pick up as was said and then a collision. They say most accidents happen close to home and due to a couple of low boys crossing, that may be their dispatch lot...
