Yes they are interchangeable.
There are a couple members that have switched them out....both ways.

I had mine painted a couple of years ago. The black plastic finish was turning gray over time and I did not like the look. They are still looking better than new. My painter sand blasted them, primed them and used a high quality paint, and spray on clear that is advertised as "clear bra" which is resistant to chipping.

The advantage of paint is you can make them any color you wish.

The main grills are interchangeable. However, the foglight grills on the GXP will not work with the base bumper.
