And here's a pic of the very slight damage to my top, it comes from the two screws that hold the latch on the trunk lid... (You are looking from the driver side kind of over the steering wheel, standing outside the car. This would be a warning NOT to do anything to allow the conv. top to move forward when stowed...

...I have the exact same damage...I was showing my wife how to do the top on her solstice, using mine, and I put my hand on a little flap of torn cloth....when I saw your pic...4 minutes on dial up...I recognized it. I'll have to go look at it again. I don't want that happening on her....Thanx for the post!!!
