Hey all, new member here, signed up yesterday. I'm from NE PA. Been lurking a few weeks as I gathered info. Looks to be a fun group. Just picked up this week an '08 GXP, auto, in Brazen/Ebony, for my wife. She loves it! So do I! Got the bug to start some modifications, seen some really hot Sols on the site. Will get some photos posted of our stock GXP and our profile updated as soon as the administrator offers the rights. I guess I need to make some more posts, any tips would be greatly appreciated (is there a formal "new member" area?). My handle is for: GXP=our Solstice (surprise!) and FXSTD = my Harley Deuce. Two loves of my life. Three with my wife. Four with my daughter. But then I really too love cheeseburgs, and chilidogs, and...

I look forward to chatting and meeting....

Welcome to the forum, if you want to post photos, you can either become a supporting member on the forum or do like I do and find an image hosting site like photobucket.com and upload your photos there. They then provide links under each photo for forum posting.

Welcome, Hoz, to this great forum and I have to say that, in my opinion, you couldn't have picked a better color for your GXP. Where in NE PA do you live?

Howdy Treber...I see your a Gent with a hankering for Orange too! I'm from the burbs outside the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area. I have family down your way in Reading and Orwisburg. Our Sol was from a dealer in Hamburg. I had a local dealer bring it up for me. My wife had been campaigning for this car since last September when she saw it on a local dealers floor, based solely on the color. I'd not really been in the market for roadster, hoping she would get a Subi Legacy. A nice practical car. Glad we went impractical 'cause we been grinning like idiots since we picked it up!

On the practical side, she drove a '02 Volvo S40 turbo. It's a kick arse ride. I bought that before Ford got their hands on the Volvo line, it's a real Volvo. 119K miles and still runs like the day we purchased it. That car will see 300K before it's judgement day. We kept that, so we still got our "family" car. Me, I love my Chevy pickup and ride my Hog everywhere so long as it's above 40 out.

Thanks to all for the warm welcome!

Hoz
