Agreed,

I'm confident that Norm's transition from the side glass to the rear quarter window is much smoother and will be perceived to be more closely resembling the factory coupe.

Notice how the roofline has a very defined "hump" to make it curve down to the stock rear fascia location. I'm sure this is why the spoiler is integrated into the factory hardtop, to smooth out that line from the windshield header back to the rear fascia.

I have attached a scan of the image.
Notice the background coupe top has door glass like the 'verts. Gives you an idea what the hardtop will look like with our door glass. Wondering if Norm's proportions will be similar. Can't wait to see it!

Notice on page 22 of same book that the actual full size foam coupe did not have that door window config but more like the actuall coupes that were eventually produced. Makes me wonder what they were doing with that curved door glass hard top.

That foam coupe was 2002, the one on page 29 was sometime in 2005. Both were styling bucks, so I'd chalk it up to evolution of the design, and both appear to be real coupes, not the Targa top convertible the production coupes turned into.

Posted this awhile ago, it's a great vid of how the coupe was designed. Also, just throwing the idea out that anyone with Norms products might want to make the trek to see the hardtop when it's ready. Could be a Norms Parts Spring Reunion (BYOB).

Red Devil,
Where did you have the "Last of the Brand" emblems made, or are you selling them?

I had them done by 3rd Shift Studios. Ask for Jaison Tortorea. He works with Tony at ASAP Graphics. Here is his email: emblems@thirdshiftstudios.com

Make sure they include the "Last of the Brand" part. I had 2 come back with out the text and they had to send me new ones. The ones he sells also have the Solstice "car silhouette" on top. But as you can see, he can remove it if you like and make them customized.

I am selling one emblem that I have without the "last of the brand" written on it. It's just says Pontiac and has the arrowhead and checkered flags. $40.00 if interested.
