I had some time, a little paint, and some plexiglass that fit the Kappasphere insallation points. Here is what I came up with:

A little closer:

This really isn't the windscreen mod, but is fun to have in both long and short sleeve versions:

Very cool!

I like it. Does the image interfere with the rear view at all?

Nope. It also shows in the correct direction in the mirror, but the image has thin enough lines to not interfere with the view.

I had about a quarter sheet of thin plexiglass, it is a little thinner than the Kappashield. I cut it on my band saw. I used a sander to smooth the edges.

I first tried with black spray paint for plastics...it ran under the edges of the protective plastic so I took that off and used one of those little bottles of gloss black model paint that I had on the shelf.

I know this would be tampering with perfection, but what do you think about adding a black molding strip across the top? How about tint that matches the windows?

Since this stuff is thinner than the Kappashield it will need something to stiffen it and the molding strip may help stabilize it. I figured it would be something fun to have at meets so that my car is readily identifiable. This version was thrown together and my painting is far from pro level, but does prove the concept without ruining my Kappashield.

I will probably research how to screen print and try that on a later mod.

Nice job! I also mod'd my Kappashield, but since there's not been a top down opportunity recently, it'll just have to be a secret

Let's just say it serves to identify mine when parked among several other Aggressives!!

Just curious. Can your shield stay in place when the top is up. Figured it might since its thinner than Kappa shield?

It probably could, but I won't leave it in with the top up. This plexiglass is a lot softer than the Lexan that is used for the Kappashield. What can I say, I look for the bargins. (Alright Gizmo, no cheap jokes.)
