Hello and OMgosh thankyou. lot of work to get Derecks car in the show, hope you all like it. Thanks again from Norm
You can see the fender extensions on the front which added little over 1". Making it even more muscular. Oh added a glass window to our GTO hood so you can see his engine mods too.

Spotted these Norm's Fiberglass Design Studio products on the interweb....

Are these the same as the ones used in the images higher up in this thread ?

I am not a potential client, but was wondering what something like this would cost. Including all labour and material making it match the color and shape (or are they meant to be painted and simply stuck on the car?) of the car.

They are the same product, not painted of course on the red car. Norm says they are available at an introductory price of $595.00 as he posted over at KappaPerformance.

Norm did these too:

I believe it was just a one inch extension, and the rear fascia was flexible enough to be pulled out to meet the flared fender. But Norm said he could do two or three inch flares if someone wanted.

The above describes two different approaches to fender flares done by Norm. One involves extensive modification to the body where the flares are built on the skin of the rear quarters / fenders. They look more "natural" because they are a modification of the car.

The other one involves an add on piece that provides the functionalty of the fender flare without requiring modification of the body. They as you pointed out are "add on" parts vs. build in parts.

Because the add on flares do NOT modify the car they are a lot cheaper to install and reversible. If you want flares but either don't want to actually modify your fenders, the add on flares are an option. If you are happy with doing or paying for extensive body mods then the build in parts are more "factory" looking.

Norm is one of the first and most loyal supporters of our cars. He is a one person shop that has committed to doing excellent work for our Sky / Solstice community. He is recognized as a very valuable member of our community. Many of us know him personally and like to consider him a friend.

When you said they were not for you, you were speaking for many who are not in love with add on parts.

Your sarcastic review of the add on fender flares with the truck rear fender art work was not constructive, personally I view it as a cheap shot, and pretty much pissed off a lot of readers. Even ones who agreed with your previous post.

I was attempting to defuse your comments before someone came along and dropped a pile of stink on your head for gratuitously attacking a much beloved member of our small group.

While you are of course free to voice your opinion at all times, you should know what you are stepping into. I do not hold you at fault for your lack of knowledge.

You too may someday be a highly valued member of the forum.
