Okay, didn't see this in any other thread...

For those of you that painted your calipers, would there be any demand for a solstice decal for them? I saw a corvette with a "corvette" decal on the caliper. You couldn't see the whole decal when it was sitting at the light. But then, when it drove, you could read the whole thing. Really neat effect.

Anyway, any interest by anyone?

Here's an example pic. Imagine it says Solstice...

Not sure... all I know is that the website sells all sorts of decals, but these are specially made for the calipers. Their site says the following:

"These decals will withstand the high temperatures of your brake calipers. "

How it does that, I don't know. But they look really sharp once they are on!

I always thought people who spray paint stock calipers are ricers. I mean its cool to show off your brakes if you have BREMBOs or something, but why show off stock brakes.

This is the site I have been looking at. But I would want the same font as the SOLSTICE font from the floormats, back end, etc. They have the correct font for the Eclipse, Neon, etc... So I am going to call them and see if they can match the font. I'll report my findings.

Don't know of anyone here who "spray painted" their calipers - cuz you're right that just isn't smart....the smart thing is to use DupliColor paint (with a brush! and at least two coats of paint) or to have them powder coated!

I guess all those Bemmers driving around with red calipers are really DUMB people! Gee I wish I was that dumb!

Oh, and BTW - I've lost count on how many people have commented on how nice my PAINTED calipers look!

I like painted calipers. Usually so much better looking that plain galvanized-looking steel. I guess I'm dumb, too.

But I won't be posting SATs and GPAs.

Porche comes with painted calipers as well, any more room on the dumb couch?

Old Soldier - which of their fonts did you use and what color? What color calipers?

I'm looking at the last font on the right, all caps in silver metalic, calipers are going to be black.

I picked the first font style in white and I'm going with either black or red paint since my Solstice is Sly colored. And I'm using the kind you brush on. This being retired sucks! I really think I have too much time on my hands...
