Power window failure, but not where you might expect
During the cold months I had tried to roll my window down, not on a wet night but still below freezing. I was in my car, so I'd already had the window unstuck from the top, but as soon as I passed the switch I heard a crack and a crunching, and it didn't go down. Before I got around to checking it out she had to go to the shop for a few months, and today I finally got the chance to open up the door and found this: http://i.imgur.com/3pkeLHb.jpg
The piece at the bottom of the front track that holds the cable guide wheel had snapped clean off and pulled free from it's peg. I got it sort of back where it goes:
But I'm not sure of the best way to reattach it. I have some two part JB Weld, and once it's reattached the peg should hold it in place so long as the bond is good, but it's such a small contact area that I'm not sure if it will hold well. Is there a better product or just give it a shot?
