Anyone who doesnt have the premium headliner can now order it. It is called a panel kit part #19121193. It retails for 195$ GM parts direct price is 119$ plus 23$ for shipping. I called an upholstery shop that put one in for a forum member in indiana. He said it took about a full day to do it , but after doing one the next one would take about half the time. As usual with gm parts there are no instructions (spoiler kit). The installer also said that about half the top had to be taken apart. Anyone up for it?????

Thanks for the tip! That sounds like it must be one heck of a project if it took a shop a whole day. Even if it were the first one they did!
Location: Under an invisibility cloak, somewhere in the Northeast
Actually it's full real name is "PANEL KIT,F/TOP HDLNG TR", or translating from Parts to English, Folding Top Headling Trim Panel Kit.

Would be VERY interested in learning the installation steps and if it count be do-it-yourself.
I talked to the installer at the shop that did the install. He saiud the front of the top has to be undone. there are some rods that need to be put in and rivited to the top material. He said to be very careful when drilling some holes in the bars and not to drill throught the top. Whatever that means.t would be nice to have one along side when doing the install to see if everything looks the same.
