removal of pontiac and solstice lettering

Has anyone removed the Pontiac and Soltice lettering on the rear of the car? I have done so on my Dodge Dakota and I personally think it looks better and so much eaiser to wax. Again I dont want to lose the personality of the car but you have to admit the car's shape is the true personality. If anyone has done so please post some pictures.

There is a thread about this- not sure how to find it, but I know it has been discussed extensively with instructions as to how to remove dealer name and Pontiac Soltice on rear of car.

I also had mine removed on the back using just fine braided fishing line...the dental floss kept breaking, then i just "rolled" the old glue/tape off with my finger.

To personalise my car, I'm having a logo that GOT_SOL made for me, machined out of polished aluminium about 2.5" dia. and will put that under the break light and replace both pontiac side emblems with those...

Ok.. i am feeling productive.. so i will go ahead and post a picture.

Dori's car in KC... obviously getting a bath.

I think it looks great with just the crest... who needs the pontiac and solstice lettering when it looks so good with out it?

heat it with a hairdryer...and use dental floss....then clean up any remaining glue residue.......personally I like people knowing its a pontiac and a solstice...but personal choice

I didn't even heat anything. I used dental floss and cut it like you would cheese wire. The remaining adhesive comes off by hand without much issue. Being new and having no time to set up it will come off very clean.
Some letters came off with the adhesive and some not so much. Take your time and don't be rushed.

Pontiac side makers

So4ever, Thanks for the picture of the rear of your car without the lettering. has anyone taken off the side (Pontiac) logo's that are next to the fake air vents? If so please post a picture. Also I would love for an insert that looks like a real side vent, maybe horizontal lines, that go into the side indentation.
