Saggy seat is starting to be painful

Not sure if anyone else is having this problem but the drivers seat is kinda saggy and has been for some time. There seems to be a hard part over to the left that is pushing on my rump and making my leg numb. After a 2 hour drive it starts to bother me. Not gonna be able to take a weekend drive pretty soon.

Great info.

However, if this is a problem,
why isn't this issue covered under warranty,
so we don't have to do it ourselves ?

I agree...

My drivers seat sits and looks like mashed potatoes.

I like fixing up my car but this has more of a "repair work" feel to it (which isn't enjoyable).

Are there many aftermarket seats available for the Solstice?

Not too late to come to the southeast meet in kentucky. JPM is going to do a clinic in saggy seat repair. That is on the car as he is not yet a plastic surgeon.

I did my own seat reapair on my drivers side before I was aware of the dealer repairing this. If you're out of warranty, you might want to give this a try.... Dealer repairing saggy seats
It's been fine ever since, over a year and 1/2 ago. No leather stretching anymore, no stitching problems, and the seat feels great. Very inexpensive and easy to do.

Agreed, I dropped my car off at the dealership for them to check into the differential issue today. Also, they fixed my saggy seat two months ago. The seat is beginning to sag again. I also mentioned this to the service rep. I hope they fix this as well.

Why doesn't the passenger seat sag?

Also, I got to drive in my sister in-law's Mercedes Benz from the early 1990's. Leather seat also. The seat is FIRM. No sag, no stretching leather, very comfortable. I wonder why the Solstice seat is to problematic...

If you actually read the JPM thread, I beleive he tells you. The passeger side has the appareatus for the air bag sensors. The driver's does not, but basically has all the same foam/leather. So, it sags... if you fill in the area as in JPM's thred, no more sag...

I noticed my driver's seat was a bit ripply, with now only 360 miles on it when I put it back in the garage and was using my new shimmy to get every smudge off. I've had it about 4 days. I was looking at this the whole time, thinking it a bit strange but had no idea that these cars had problems with this until now! I couldn't get the "fix it" link to open, but there was a small snag in the leather seat side the dealership is taking care of this Friday, so I guess I should say something to the leather guy? Is this an old thread or is the KY thing happening soon? Where in KY?

I am glad this this site is here because I am learning stuff every day. Wish I had known some before buying, because I could have wheeled and deeled better. Live and learn, I guess. No one else can do that for you.

What time? I have only gone the Memphis-Jonesboro way through Arkansas. I guess I have to go to mapquest. I must say that I hate putting miles on my vehicles. I know I need to loosen up, but even when I had a van (hearing Chris Farley shout on Saturday Night Live about how someday the world will go to hell and you might have to LIVE IN A VAN DOWN BY THE RIVER) I am doing less than 2,000 a year if that.

Yeah, I need fun I don't know anyone around here for that.

Thanks for the welcome!
