I can assure you that Tire Rack is the sole importer of all OZ wheels into the US. Any US vendor selling OZ wheels must first buy them from Tire Rack and then sell them to you.

I have not looked up the specific costs of purchasing wheels from Kappsphere but they are listed on their website for the same $335 selling price that Tire Rack has listed. I will suggest that when comparison shopping always make sure you are looking at a landed cost not just the price of the wheel. Tire Rack's shipping cost is generally very low when compared to other companies.

AFAIK, OZ only produces an 18x8 18x9 and 20x8.5 Ultraleggeras for the Kappa cars.

A 19x9 ET57 Superleggera III is available from Tire Rack as a custom assembled 3-piece wheel. You have to pay to play though, they're $1019 each!!!

If they are willing to swap out for new SSR's they should have no problem swapping for new OZ's.

Morfious,

The OZ's are just about my favorite wheel on the Sol, second to my one-off, custom drilled SSR GT2's that I recently sold to Randy at DDMWorks. I remember my silver set (2nd set ever made) always made me want to leave the race tires on. They looked SO good on the car I sometimes debated running street tires on them part of the time and switching my race rubber on for the weekends. Either that or I considered buying another set of wheels. BTW- when I totaled my Sol I had 4 sets of wheels and tires for it.

Good luck with the new wheels. I loved mine and I'm sure you'll love yours.

I know, Joe does some great things. Wonder if he wants to start custom welding a roll cage? Just kidding.

I actually got them through a local distributor, but Kappasphere is selling these as well. I wanted the 18x9 in the rear but have heard conflicting stories about rubbing and not fitting quite well so I chickened out and went for the 18x8's instead.

Ask and you shall receive. My cousin ran into a few snags with the tire mount machine on Wednesday so I had to wait until Friday to get them installed. Definitely worth the wait. I love how they look. The car is really "Mean" now.

My cousin is also telling me how I need wheel spacers to push the wheels farther out and lowering springs so it scrapes the ground and everything else. I kindly remind him that this is my "fun" car not a drifting machine.

Here is what he does with his "fun" car: (taken at the Nopi drift comp in Englishtown NJ).

Why do that when I can get HID's with black surrounds. (Just what I need to do. Spend more $$ to "fix" things that are NOT broken.)

Seeing yours was one of the reasons I bought them. I love your HID conversion by the way.
