Who really cares where the cars are made... Heck, if I had a ton of money, I'd have an EVO, STi, GTR, F430, Ford GT, Z06, Viper, Z8, McLaren, Exige, along with my Sol of course AANNDD I'd enjoy all of them. But then of course people would nag at me for not being a purist and not being able to make up my mind...

First, why do you care what anyone thinks? They going to lay down in the grave with you? Live your own life. Its yours not theirs. If you are so insecure that you have to have our friends approval then you should consider getting a bicycle.

Second, whats wrong with your friends? Everyone LOVES a Sol and begs to have my children.

I really could care less what my friends think because , I think the Solstice an amazing car and I wouldn't trade it for anything else in its price range. It's just that for some reason all my friend favor Japanese cars over American cars.

Time to get some new friends!

See the USA in your Solstice...Ehhhh!

Sticker on my drivers side door inside says "Wilmington Assembly Be The Best. Local 435 UAW....First Rate Quality From The First State"

It will never come off of DarkSol as long as I am the owner. We did good with this sled...and we all should be proud...I know I am.

We all have a choice in this great country to buy whatever, car, house, products, etc., that we choose. Citizens of countries do not always have that privlege. If they are on your for buying an American product then why do they continue to live in the USA? (Sorry, but this grinds on me). As a Veteran & having called to serve my country, I proudly support it. I don't always agree with the politics, but I will always be there, if needed, to defend the USA. My cousin also defended it & he bought american. You can see his name on The Wall at: P-02E, L-101.

I've always owned American car, as my dad, uncles, cousins & late grandfathers have. If your friends say the quality of an American car or product is so bad, then explain to me why I also have a 1984 Corvette, the original American sports car, built in Feb 2003. I have over 250,000 miles on it & it is still on the road, running & continues to get complements & praise from all the foreign car drivers I pass on the road. How many 25yrs Toyota's, Mazda's, Hyundia's, etc., do you still see running on the roads where you live? If you bought the car & you like it, great. By the way, why would any car company call themselves KIA?

Ok, I'll get off my soapbox for now.

08 Mysterious.

And these are the same people that can't figure out why the American economy is struggling.

Sure some foriegn cars are nice and well built and I wouldn't bash anyone for owning one. I have too.

Forget what others think and be proud to own the car you love and your input into helping our country's survival and independance.

I would much rather purchase a car that (even though may have some parts fabricated in other countries) has given my fellow American working force an opportunity to survive and provide for thier families and know that it was not completely assembled by some machine.

But again I say I am not totaly against owning a foriegn one. In fact I am lookig to buy a used KIA Sportage 4x4 for the winters here but just because I can get it cheap and and I won't care about beating the sucker up so I don't damage my Sol or my Suburban.

The foriegn influence on American cars is not the fault of the majority working force. It is the big wigs looking to get the most profit in thier pockets by farming out the work to cheaper countries and screwing his fellow Americans out of a job to save a few pennies.

It's not just about the car or how nice it may be.

America the beautiful. land of opportunity. Love it or leave it!!! And for God's sake fight for it however you can contribute.

Just my two cents.
