Fell asleep last night, what happened with "Jazz" the Solstice, Lot #1063?
At Barrett-Jackson's site, this morning, it is the only car without a sale price. Did it have a reserve and not meet it? Was it pulled? Going off tonight or tomorrow?

I don't know what happened with Jazz. They ended the live coverage before they got to the end.

Thanks for the update Critterman. Was wondering what that would fetch. It was my favorite. Now I don't feel so bad about missing the auction. I couldn't have gone a penny over $450,000
per Business Week...
"The Buick Blackhawk show car is a hand-built custom 2+2 convertible developed to celebrate Buick's 100-year anniversary in 2003. It's built from modified components and panels taken from various Buicks from 1939 to 1986. It includes a retractable carbon-fiber top, which is stored inside the deck-lid. The interior is hand-tooled using many 1996 Riviera pieces. It is powered by a 1970 vintage 455-cubic-inch Buick GS Stage III V8 engine. It produces 463 horsepower and 510 foot pounds of torque. The body is steel. This is a true show car and would not be street-driven unless modified and certified. GM executives say in a better market, it might bring $200,000 plus, but the current environment makes it a wild card at the auction."
So, it turns out it went for a tad more than $200k. I guess that's a few hundred thou less that The General will need from the taxpayers!

I was there and got a bunch of pictures of all the Solstices on site. Jazz, Weekend Racer, Red Bull.
I have to say that Jazz was a huge disappointment. Very poorly slapped together. The roof didn't fit correctly and not soft top was offered. There were no window seals so there was about a 1/2 gap when you rolled up the windows. The hood vents were just taped on. Overall, it's a movie car, I guess I should have expected that. The Weekend Racer car was very clean and looked good overall. However all the Solstices had "Scrap" titles and talking with folks there, it can never be titled. Once a "Scrap" title is issued, they say it can only be used for spare parts. Never driven on public roads. So my question is what is the point? Buy it and put it in your garage and look at it? Trailer it to car shows? Race it on the track?

Hello Jazz went for $19,800.00 Lot# 1570.2 Sunday its a movie car, cant use it. Just shows cars overall at the auction were low must be the economy. Cars were selling for less than the restoration it took. Thanks Norm
