Steering Wheel Radio Control Help!

Today for the first time, on my way home from work, my radio controls on the steering wheel started acting erratic. The Volume and Preset buttons would change the radio to other preset stations, jumping around randomly, and even changing the Band from FM to AM and vice versa. The Volume buttons didnt actually raise / lower the volume. The radio controls on the radio seem to work fine however.

I searched this forum and found a few people who've also reported a similar problem, but no solutions were ever posted.

Anyone ever have this problem? What did you do to fix?

When you shut the car off, did you try restarting it to see if the buttons were still acting goofy? I ask because about a week after I bought my 07 (used), my steering wheel buttons acted weird as well. Once I shut it off, and restarted it the next time, they were fine again. In fact, it's never acted up again. Maybe just a one time hick-up is what you have too?

My 2006 did this intermittently all the time. I never solved the issue but never reported it to the dealer either. Eventually just traded the car in. Good luck.

I didn't restart my car when i got home. But this morning when i started up the car, before i began driving, i immediately tried the buttons, and they seemed fine.

About 10 minutes later while im sitting @ a light, i tried again, they started acting screwy. But a few minutes later all was fine again!

I tend to use these buttons alot and will really miss not having them -- any suggestions?
