I bought the clear ones and tinted them with spray on tint to save a few bucks. I wanted mine darker than the ones being sold anyway.

Interesting that young people have no problem dropping a dime a month on elaborate mobile phone service but can't find one-fifteen for quality custom car parts.

As someone said, "Different strokes for different folks".

I was at a run in Ohio. As we were all sitting around having breakfast, JRinKY and I were sitting there with our netbooks, garmins and unsmart phones . . . everyone else had fancy Androids, iPads, & iPhones. I sometimes feel like I'm in the dark ages.

Oh, and I wouldn't bother to spend any extra money on appearance. Performance/handling is a whole different issue.

This. There isn't exactly a big market for making aftermarket Solstice parts

The solstice forum is definitively been a shock to my system, I've got a low 12 sec cavalier and I am used to a different crowd I guess. Median age over on those forums is probably 20-30.

No offense, of course. just a different demographic...

I have those on my Solstice and I'm only 24, bought my GXP at 20!

My Solstice is truly a time machine. I am 73, with 16 grandchildren, but . . ., when I slip into my GXP, I become 23 again. Amazing how that works.

My pockets are neither deep or shallow. But I always seem to be able find a little extra to spend on Mysti, my psuedo-mistress, when the urge arises.

It's not that owners of Solstice/Skys have deep pockets or that parts suppliers are greedy. It mostly has to do with the economics of the market.

Over the total run of 4 years, there were approximately 100,000 Solstices and Skys made.

How many Cobalts are out there in the wild? About 1,000,000. That 10 times as many cobalts as Solstice and Sky combined. Parts are going to be cheaper because the market is so much bigger.

Most suppliers won't even think of making aftermarket parts until the market is at least 500,000 units.

Couldn't agree more Dave. I bought my SKY because I fell in love with the look of the car, that's what keeps the look of it stock. Performance and handling mods, don't change the look that I fell for, but increase the love of the car because of the thrill factor that runs all the way to my (old) bones....

How can you expect me to stay grounded when I always drive in the SKY. . . on the Redline....

I would have been the guy seating there without a phone wondering why they don't turn the damn cell phones off, they are so annoying.

Kidding right? Comparing a 'swiss-army-tool' of modern technology to some tiny aesthetic corner light?

That said, OP the answer exists in this thread - you're comparing a cav with a unique part on a limited run car. There's just not the market/competition to create the $25 clear corner ebay ads.

Rudy's (aftershock) pretty good dude; though, that's still too rich for my blood on a corner light.

Blackbirdracing, hi neighbor. I'm from Geneva. Maybe we will meet some time. Double K did Augustiono's last year on Tuesdays and Saturdays, probably the same this year. I'm an old guy in a Sly.
