top being trapped

I have two concerns:
1- When I close the top and lift it from the trunk, the fabric of the top is getting trapped between the movements. I have to lift the fabric while I am closing the top to be able to close it. I compared both sides and I could feel and a piece in the movement that end with a rubber in the well functioning side and there no rubber on the problem side.
2- the driver seat is sinking and wrinkled. What should I do about it?

I will take it to the dealer in the next 2-3 days.
I like to know if anybody has the same problems.

Thank you

You have a top pinching issue due to the rubber wearing out, there is a change that is described here top ripping/pinching fix

You should also check under the fabric for tearing of the liner. The dealer needs to replace not only the top but the items #17 I have identified in the link.

Thank you. I got a lot of info from the links. I printed the info/ pictures and I will take them to the dealer on Monday.
I looked at the top from inside around the area where it is getting pinched and I found a tear on both sides including the side that has no problem where the rubber is fine. It is a straight line. I want to know if that is normal and not a tear. If it is normal I will not ask to change the top.
Please let me know if it is normal.

not normal, your sides need the new part and the top replaced

I've started to have this problem lately, too. I took it to the dealer today, and they're ordering me a new top. I told them about the rails with the plastic ends on them. (mine does not have them). They said they would watch for that when the new top comes in. They also have to replace the seal around the windshield, because it got a hole in it on a previous repair attempt. While the seal is off, I'm thinking about having them paint the windshield frame to match my car. Before they ordered the top, they even asked me which color I wanted. I suppose, if you wanted to chance colors this would be the opportune time to do it. I'm sticking with my Lightside top.
