It appears that he was here just this morning:

transformer sideskirts

I would certainly hope that he saw this thread and will be contacting PAO quickly with regard to this issue.

IMHO any continued lack of correspondence would now constitute theft and as such I would be contacting the local authorities to see if someone might knock on his door.

PAO, not to make light of your friends situation (and certainly hope it's worked out), but his handle is "Uncivil"

When I was growing up in Amarillo, I remember this one night on the news, a guy murdered his wife and got 20 years, and 2 other guys were convicted for cattle rustling, and got life in prison..

Wow I was not going to say anything because I don't want to jump to conclusions since he seemed at the time to be a respectful member here. Now it really has me wondering since he has been on here and solsuba excchanged pms with him so he knows about this topic that is a given. PAO it seems like the ball just might be in your court now.

Do you think he made up the whole accident story so he could sell nonexistent parts? I've investigated worst scams.

not quite sure what you mean here......would seem to me everyone here is giving Uncivilracer the opportunity to make things right here.....I PMd him yesterday....still nothing back....and I encouraged the individual whose check he cashed to send him a certified letter to his home address and to call him....

Im still with holding final judgement, but I dont think at this point it will have a good resolution.....

PAO,

Let you friend know that they have a couple options. Obviously one is to file a criminal complaint for fraud. They can also file mail fraud charges if their business was conducted using the mail (check sent via mail). This steps it up to a felony charge.

Of course there is also small claims court.

Hopefully it won't need to go that far, but there are definitely options.

No, he posted pictures of his wife's wrecked solstice, and he wasn't injured in the wreck, his wife was. His hospital stays have to do with a long term illness I believe. I'm also sure he's sold more parts here than these side skirts, and if he hadn't come through on them, we'd know about it by now. I'm not defending his actions, but I don't think deliberate scamming is what he's about.

There are 2 sides to every story...having said that; giving him the benefit of the doubt at this point in time seems a little naive. Along w/the SCIsolstice theme, there are some fairly creative unscrupulous people around.

By the way, I've got some side-skirts to sell, anyone interested

he did in fact total his solstice, pics of the accident etc.....he had sold several mod parts off the car after the accident...and there apparently werent any problems..or at least none posted here....

either way.....its interesting he has come to the forum..posted in another thread, but failed to come here and set matters straight.....nor has he answered my PMd.....so that doesnt bode well for him..........I have passed all information gained to the individual who bought the parts from him......

some might be saying why am I taking up the fight here..lets just say this individual is a forum member, and is a senior citizen but young at heart since he drives a sol and continues to mod it ...... we became friends at the national meet in Nashville..he wasnt quite sure what else he could do, so he ask me for suggestions......thus the public thread for discussion..appreciate everyones input....lets see how it turns out.......

If anyone hears from Uncivil, let him know if he can't ship for whatever reason, I would be glad to go to Mesquite and pick up the side skirts and ship them to the purchaser.
