USED mallet for sale?

i was just browsing thru listings thru edwards or some such and seeing the rediculous used asking prices on solstice. you know the type 30,000, 29.000 all the way down to a mere 26ooo. anyway BOING! gallagher buick in conneticut has a mallett for sale with 14 miles on it for 54,900. how bout that. im planning on selling solly next spring and was just getting a feeler for used pricing.

Fred,

Thought you'd keep your Solstice forever. What are you planning on buying to replace it?

I looked up Solstice pricing at the Manheim Auto Auction site with my cousin (a high line auto broker here in Nashville), and found out that resale pricing is very good right now. The average price paid by dealers was $25,583 (probably for a loaded up $25k Solstice). I'd expect that next spring, you should expect to see those numbers $2000 to 3000 less.

Most likely not used with only 14 miles on it.

Probably listed it as used because it's not officially a "new" Pontiac Solstice after Mallet got done with it.

not sure what ill get mike. maybe a benz or see whats out there. i just plan on blowing out my sportscar self for a year and then start looking for a sports sedan or wait until the next generation prius hits. just not sure.

also i agree that the mallett had to be listed as used since its not gm factory original.. just surprised to see one listed already.

"Used" because it had been reported delivered retail by the original dealership in Ohio. Now on the lot (or at least in the inventory) of Gallagher Pontiac in CT.

Fred,

I'd recommend looking at a new Mini Cooper S when you sell your Solstice. Why?

1) Handling and performance is on par with the Solstice

2) You could easily have it as your only car, since there is plenty of room for 4 people, and for carrying lots of things when the rear seats are folded down

3) Resale value is very high. You can buy a loaded Mini S for $25,000, and you could expect to own it for 3-4 years and the car will most likely still be worth $20,000

Mike

You should try the STS v-8. Talk about a kickin car, or the CTS-V. I can send you a brochure, if you like.....

When you sell the Solstice. sell the Prius as well and buy a used low mile '02-'04 BMW M3. I know you like black, so pick up one in Carbon Black, which is a dark black metallic with a slight hint of very dark blue in certain light.

Tremendous car...

A CTS or CTS-V, new or used. If the STS is too big, the CTS is perfect!!! 4yr-50k warranty too....

And the fuel economy on the V8 STS or the V-6 CTS is above 25 HWY......
