Mean was the color for me. I like that it is different, bright, and loud. With the black pin striping on the hood, rear quarter and deck lid as well as the strip on the front quarter and fading out on each door it is now perfect. not to much mean, just mean enough
My initial choice was the Deep, hands down. My daughter, however, threw my words to her back in my face, "Blue pigments are chemically unstable." She then told me, "Regardless, you _must_ get the green. It's the color you _need_."
She was right.

I have always been a fan on blue cars. My 57 Chevy was two tone blue, my 1960 Corvair was blue. My Wife's old Mustang was blue... our Kia was blue... and My Mini Cooper is blue.
As for the Solstice, we chose Deep not only because it is blue, but we felt that the darker color made the car appear lower. Always a good thing!!

Really, you get that nice DARK blue and a pseudo black in low light. And its metallic. But the bad news is that the 09 "deep" is a brighter blue and non-metallic (i think)
First time I saw the car was at a car show and it was an Envious. I knew that was the colour I had to have. Have received many remarks about it being the nicest. Also, yes, it is compared to the British racing green.
Mysterious: too many on the road, too hard to keep clean
Deep: only ever saw one, test drove it at the dealer, nice but too dark and it had that sand interior which I found very cheap looking
Mean: too flashy (and was worried someone might mistake me for a cab)
Aggressive: never liked red in a car
Sly: considered buying this colour but found that it didn't do the car justice
Pure: I always liked white, very sharp with the black top (previously had a white Camaro)
Cool: every second car on the road is silver, too common a colour.
This is only personal preference on colours and not meant to insult anyone. They are all nice.
Location: Checking out the new sway bar in my Sol!
Because I'm so deep.
And Deep is actually like having three colors. It's metallic blue in the sun, dark blue when it's cloudy, and it looks black at night.

Did not like the other colors.
Green (Envious) looked pucky
Yellow (Mean) Just don't care for the color.
White (Pure) Way too plain.
Black (Mysterious) Been there, done that, not again.
Yawny (Sly) Not big on the color
Dark Blue (Deep) Same as the black
Silver (Cool) Too many cars the same color
Orangey (Brazen) Just don't like the color
I would custom order another one in the same color. But, I still have my original.

When I put in my order on April 15, 2005 I spec'ed it as Envious with the Steel/Sand interior. The dealer called later and said that Pontiac wouldn't allow that combination on the 1st 1K, so the second choice was Aggressive/Black, which was delivered 6 months later.

I've always loved black, and my previous car was black. However I did find the black very difficult to keep clean.
I've never been a fan of red or green cars.
Did not like the visability of yellow.
I chose sly (dark grey) because it looks classy, it eludes radar, and I believe that the colour will always be in style, whereas other colours may be considered trendy (Brazen). It is very easy to keep clean and hides small spots.
Also the first Solstice I saw in person was sly, and I fell in love with it. Several months later the dealership called me and told me I could have the showroom car as he knew how much I loved it, and someone had just defaulted on a black. So they put the black in the showroom.
I'm still very happy with my sly.
