I will second that, it is expensive especially when you have to have it delivered to Canada (exchange, customs brokerage etc.) but IMO well worth it. It's effectiveness is very subjective, I like having mine as it seemed to block the wind whether the windows are up or down. Just my own thoughts..........
Noticeable improvement indeed, but remember you have to have the windows up for them to be effective. I have a Windrestrictor and love it. Many owners have the OEM version and are equally happy with them as far as function.
Some purchasers of the Windrestrictor express dissatisfaction with the reflections off of them particularly at night. I find it to be a minor nuisance that I'll put up with due to the aesthetics of the unit. (We have ours list and with custom engraving on it.)
Comes down to what you think looks good and how much you want to spend.
The factory wind blocker requires drilling through the tulip panel and installation of mounting hardware. When the factory unit is not mounted, two holes surrounded by bezels are visible
The Windrestrictor is mounted using industrial Velcro like material and does not require screws
I installed a Windrestrictor last year and was underwhelmed. I expected a more significant reduction in wind buffeting than what I seem to have noticed (yes, with the windows up).
