I think it is REALLY cool that you have allowed us inside the development *process* of bringing this product to life. Amazing. A long road to be sure. Congrats, it really does look fantastic. GM should offer these thru their parts cataloge and buy them from you! Or, better yet, they should buy them from you for all production Solsti!

My guess is no. Last we heard from him, he still had to get them perfect before placing a big order for them. He hasnt logged in since september 5th. I just emailed him so hopefully he comes on here and gives us some updates.
Not taking orders til I find out whether I can go back to my source and see if a "second round" of the grills is possible. If so, I'll probably tweak the CAD file a bit to reduce the slight bowing. If not, then I'll have to find a mold specialist to reproduce the ones I have to make duplicates. Been swamped with work at my regular job that I haven't touched anything relating to the Aftershock products for the past two weeks.
I've already sent the CAD file to my source to get a prototype for the fog light vents done a couple weeks back. Haven't heard from him in a while. Last he mentioned, that the machine was down and he was going to be out of town for a while. I'll see if he can chime in.
I hope that your day job settles down as too much pressure is not healthy for a person...and we want you around to create lots of goodies for our Sols!
Patiently awaiting.....
Nic

Rudy, we were wondering where you went! You seemed to disappear there for a while. Glad everything is okay and that work is busy. Hey, could be worse! Could be slow and THAT wouldn't be good.
When you can, you know that lot's of people are waiting for those grills. We know that you won't release them until they are right. We would expect nothing less from you as you my friend, are a perfectionist.
Looking forward to the final product.
Bob

Got an e-mail from my source who did the SLA prototyping for this first grill and he said that his company is going through some building renovation which have the machines unplugged and down for the moment. Won't be for a few weeks to maybe a month before they're up and running again. Only until then, will he may be able to get the fog light vents to be fabricated and sent to me for test fitting.
Mean time, I'm going to ask my machinist who has a RTV mold specialist that I may try to get a quote to get this first prototype recessed grills reproduced.
