Install pics...

I managed to install the grills onto my sol for a final test fit right after work this evening without any problems. It was actually alot easier than I thought it would be. Removal, on the other hand was not. I managed to break off 4 mounting tabs on one frame and 3 on the other while removing them from the fascia. Luckily, the tabs can be re-glued and the frame should be re-installable. The material used for casting these parts proved to be not as flexible as OEM. But for what it is, it works.

I'm probably not going to install another new set on my bumper until I see the results of the chrome and black chrome finish as I'm considering the black chrome version if it comes out to what I hope it would.

In the mean time, I'll be setting up my site for PayPal to take orders very soon. The retail price for a complete set of raw unfinished recessed grills will be $265.00. This includes both left and right outter recessed frames and hexagon inserts.

The introductory forum members discounted price for a limited time will be $199.00. Shipping is an additional $12 via USPS and lead time will take between 1-2 weeks depending on workload and demand for these parts. Special discount will expire at the end of this month, July 31st and price will jump to retail price. Direct link here: aftershock products

Do keep in mind, that these parts will have imperfections naturally concentrated mostly on the back side or non-visible side of the frames and inserts. Also, the tunnels through each of the hexagon holes will have parting line or mold imperfections as this is where both halves of the mold meet. These can be sanded or filed smooth if you want every hexagon tunnel to be flawless. But, this will require time and patience to do this and IMO, it's really not going to be that visible unless you paint the inserts a bright and glossy finish other than black, like I'll be doing.

However, the best part is the front surfaces (visible side) of both the frames and the inserts will be nearly perfect without any flaws or cavities from air bubbles. Final finessing and finish work will be up to you on how far you want it to look perfect before paint application. BTW, this mod WILL require you to trim or remove the black foam bumper behind the fascia. I find that removing it entirely is easier and even quicker to do than to try trimming the rubbery foam material itself. rudy

Front grills removed:

Recessed frames snap in like oem:

Removal results in a few broken mounting tabs for both frames.

hello...

I'll have to get back to you on the shipping costs. I'll need to bring the package with a set of grills packed to my local USPO to get an exact shipping cost from them to Ontario, Canada. Once I get the shipping costs, I can send you a separate PayPal invoice for the shipping costs alone. In the mean time, you can go ahead and place your order via the web site which will not add shipping costs to your order since your ordering from outside the US. Just let me know when you place your order so I can get the shipping costs for you because I'm getting a little swamped with PM's, e-mails, and orders. Thanks.

The card you entered cannot be used for this payment. Please enter a different credit or debit card number

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I keep getting that error message. Isn't there a number we can call to process this item?

Unfortunately, I don't and can't accept credit cards via phone. I suggest contacting PayPal to see why your transaction cannot be completed using your card. There may be some sort of issue with the card itself that only PayPal can resolve.

If worse comes to worse, we can do the transaction old school using money orders and such. PM me if you decide to go this route. Thanks.
