I appreciate the car guy ideal.

However, one cannot ignore projected image entirely. I suggest that easily 50% of real car guys would not be seen in stock first gen miata. I would be happy to drive one preped with more power.

That being said, the Miata is not an attractive car.

I believe Iwas the one going on about the Nissan's being pigs. I never said Solstice wasn't one too. I would love to get my car down a few hundred. It's too bad crash standards keep going up to make the cars heavier. If there were a next gen Solstice, it would probably be close to the Nissan's heft.

Jimbo, don't you know the difference between "guy cars" and "girl cars"? They have a name for people that ignorant but I won't say anything, cuz I don't have anything against homosexuals. If the Miata floats your boat and meets your needs, no problem make sure you get one the same colour as a woman's lips. Why would you in the same posting not only just insult me, but the entire phucking FORUM by saying there are very few enthusiasts on this forum? You looking for some drama? I would think if you bothered to sign up for an account on this forum, that automatically makes you an enthusiast, because what crazy person would go on a website and spend hours everyday just reading about cars other than enthusiasts?

And another thing, this is a forum for people that live in Ontario, what the PHUCK are you doing here biatch? Don't you have any other exciting "gay enthusiasts" you would rather focus your loving attention on? GO HOME.

Whoa Navy!!!! I don't like the Miata (driven them all) either but it's mostly because it's slow and I hate the driving position. Well, and the excessive body roll. I don't consider it a chick car mostly because of it's racing successes. I happen to agree with Jimbo that there few car enthusiasts on this forum. Visit other forums and you'll see what we mean. I don't think it's an insult, it's just that some people are into different things. No big deal, really.

There are painfully few car nuts on this board. Most here lover their Solstices. Very few here just love hot cars.

Threads regarding other cars get a reaction that runs from apathy to derision.

NavyKnight, welcome to the ignore list. Thanks for playing.

Amen.

Too much sectarian insularity - they are a 'Pontiac guy' or a 'Mopar guy' or a 'BMW guy' but so few guys that simply like ANY car that shows virtue.

This mirrors the simplistic political reactions of many as well - "If your not for us you're against us", but probably best not to go there.

Hi there!

I'm an admitted GM fan, but I like all brands that offer something I want. Unfortunately that's a thin list these days At least there's fun stuff on the used market.

A friend has a 350Z, and it's a nice car. Seems quick riding shotgun. There is a 370Z in the parking lot, same color as his. I like the looks of both cars. His only recurring problem has been the auto up/down window system. Several dealers have tried to fix it, all unsuccessful. It's minor so he lives with it.

I've driven two NA Miatas, and sat in a NB, and they're okay but I don't fit as I'm too tall and my legs hit the steering wheel. I don't know if I fit in a NC but I don't like the looks.

I don't know about how I fit the S2000 but it looks nice from the outside.

So, the Solstice gets the nod -- I like the car, and I'm a GM fan, and I fit. If I had fit in a NB Miata, I probably would have bought one back in '03 when they were deeply discounted.
