The hard panel roof doesn't fit in the trunk, it needs to be stored in the garage.
I think that the production coupe may even look better than the concept, nice! Next question is what does the new roofline do for aerodynamics? This will likely be the version used for racing next year.
Well, they blew that one! I wouldn't get one anyway due to the inconvenience involved with removing a targa top anyway: would much rather have the vert. I dealt with the hard targa top on the C6 for years and it wasn't worth the pain of removing it. The convertible top is a breeze to operate and once you get used to it, you can close it while still sitting in the car... even though you still have to clip the two clips when you get out.
Does look great though, and should appeal to those who don't necessarily want/need a convertible!

I think this is a major oversight if true.....you need to be able to store the panels in the car....or IMHO its worthless to have the Targa......I would opt for another convertible if this is the case....
I dont want to rely on going back to my garage if the weather changes on me...of if Im on a road trip!!!!!!

I really like it! Too bad about not being able to store the top in the trunk. What if the weather changes or if you are traveling somewhere and want to have the top off? Looks like you have to leave it at home.

Think that is the function of the Soft Top option. The Soft Top does store in the back. Caught away from home, install the Soft Top.
Long extended road trips would be a horse of a different color. But could see the Soft Top doing the job. Not that much different thatn having a Convertible Top above you now.
From the way the releases sound, they may have raised the floor in the back to match the height of the "Temple". Thus creating storage compartments around the base of the "Temple", where open space is now. Soft Top stores in one of those areas.

It appears that they have a soft cover as well from looking at the picture with black top. That's probably how how you handle weather changes. Seems like a decent compromise. You could just use the soft cover most of the summer and switch to hard top for colder months
