I wonder if the seats go back further or recline further for taller drivers.

Hmm...Different than what I heard...But A press release is a press release...wonder if they mean optional as in not perminantly attached...(You have to attach it...It stows away in the back)

THE GOOD NEWS...I can finally pick up 2x4s at Lowes in a solstice!

Nope Mike .... optional as in you pay extra for it! As in look under the GM Accessory tab when you go to order.

I see the critics now saying they fault this one because you cant store the targas in the back......so you need the optional soft top......here we go again!!!...

From the way the releases sound, they may have raised the floor in the back to match the height of the "Temple". Thus creating storage compartments around the base of the "Temple", where open space is now. Soft Top stores in one of those areas.
Yes if the weather changes you can put the soft top up but that's assuming you went out with it. What happens when you leave with the hard top on and the day turns out nice to where you would want to drive top down? You don't have the options that you do with the vert. I prefer to have that option. It may or may not do well in the N/E since our weather changes drastically. IMHO.

What is need it is for some hard top company to come up with a design that would use this targa roof and fit it to our convertible.

Weight distribution is now exactly 50/50 a la BMW.

I didn't think they could improve on the concept coupe, but this car actually looks better and the targa is a big improvement.

This car will sell very well world wide - there is nothing else like it on the market and it hits all the requirements for a sports coupe. I can hardly wait to read Consumer Reports criticisms!

Everyone here is thinking about this car as a convertible and not a coupe. I think this cars primary objective is to be a coupe and for most people who buy it they will just leave the top up. This will be great for people who wanted the solstice but didn't want a convertible. It also means the solstice could be significantly more popular however once I get my convertible again I don't care if everyone has the coupe, because I got humps!
