Ditto for me too. I prefer the humps.

Oh that and I'm not sure my golf clubs would fit in that trunk with the floor raised up like that.

Also ... this statement with regard to the cargo area:

Quote:
Removing the folding-top mechanism made way for a new, flat cargo floor and several storage compartments. The cargo area's covered bins provide secure storage for smaller items. Cargo tie-down hooks help secure irregularly shaped items.

I love it! I won't sell my current GXP to own it but I sure do look forward to seeing them on the road.

Hey, no more ugly chrome surrounds on the headlights! Those in the pics look black!

As for comments about the trunk. Small Dealer hit on the head from everything I know. The floor was raised up to the top of the tank... just looks like more room still because of the new fastback design. Nothing else in the car has changed aside from the coupe specific pieces.

Glad they did this... but so glad I have the convertible GXP.
Also of note the fuel tank/evap canister actually sits lower in a Coupe, making the "top of the tank" lower than the convertible.

I prefer the conv GXP still. I like the style and humps. It is one thing that has made the solstice unique, with the sky as well. If i want a hardtop I will talk to smoothline.

Can it be stored?

So I really like the looks, but won't sell my 2006.

Now is edmunds.com wrong, won't surprise me, or what?

The panel can be stored in the cargo area

Let me know, I want some confirmation on this story for sure.

I prefer to have that option. It may or may not do well in the N/E since our weather changes drastically. IMHO.
I guess it is all in your point of view. The way I look at the targa coupe is that it would be the same as owning the soft top covertible with an accessory hard top. Install the hard top for the winter driving months. As soon as spring comes, use the fabric top which stows in the rear trunk when you take it off.

I have no plans to buy the coupe, but if I did, I would probably have the hard targa top on the car from November thru March and then store it in the garage and rely on the fabric top April thru October.

They are wrong - perhaps they misread this statement:

Quote:
The coupe's roof is fixed aft of the B-pillars, with side windows and a rear liftglass for access to the cargo area. The roof panel is easily removed from the passenger compartment, and an optional soft roof cover stores in the cargo area. A home storage case for the roof panel will be offered through GM Accessories.

Engineering the design
and thought it meant the hardtop panel stored in the cargo area.
